The Children’s Board at GCC is dedicated to developing a sense of community for the youngest members of our congregation.

The Board supports the Director of Children’s Ministry in developing, staffing and presenting a Christian education program for children through 6th grade. They work to involve children in multi-generational church activities and in activities in the community. This board collaborates with the Confirmation/Youth board and staff in providing opportunities for the 6th graders to be with the 7th/8th graders in various mission and fellowship programs, and to share in parts of the confirmation curriculum.

The Children’s Board also serves as the liaison between the GCC Nursery school and the church.

The Children’s Board sponsors a host of yearly events that have become important parts of the traditions of many young families at GCC, including:

• The Thankful Meal
• Christmas Events
• Valentines Heart-y Party
• Easter Egg Hunt
• Gently Used Toys
• Teacher Appreciation Breakfast
• Bible Carnival on Rally Day
